Lleida, November 29th 2011. Tomorrow Lleida will host for the first time a mobile industry
Interconnect Working Group meeting
(IWG#15). This will involve more than 50 international organisations within the global mobile ecosystem meeting to discuss standards for the mobile communications industry.
One of the topics that the
IWG will discuss is the
GSMA’s RCS-e project,
a simple and interoperable evolution to voice and text, which enables customers to send instant messages, video chat and exchange files in real time. All functions are built into the address book of mobile devices.

The GSMA’s Embedded Mobile programme is another industry initiative that will be discussed during the IWG#15 meeting; The GSMA’s Embedded Mobile initiative is a market development programme designed to accelerate the adoption of wireless connectivity in a wide range of devices across the consumer electronics, healthcare, automotive and utilities sectors.
